Dr. S. Gomathy is an Associate Professor and Head of the Department of English at Velammal College of Engineering and Technology in Madurai, Tamil Nadu, India.

She completed her UG in Science and Humanities from Madurai Kamaraj University, an M.A. from Annamalai University, an M.Phil. from Madurai Kamaraj University, and a Ph.D. in English Language Teaching from AMET University in Chennai.

She has over 33 years of teaching experience, as well as four years as the HR Director for a Government of India initiative funded by the MHRD, and an MBA in human resource management.

Dr. Gomathy has 14 research articles published in international journals and 9 presentations given at conferences. She has organised two international conferences, two national conferences, and more than ten FDPs. She won the “Best Senior Faculty” award in 2018.
