Literary Landscapes: Ecology, Environment, and Ethics in Indian English Literature
Call for Chapters for an Edited Book
About the Book:
In an era marked by escalating ecological crises and a heightened awareness of environmental justice, Indian English writers are increasingly engaging with themes of nature, human-animal relationships, climate change, resource depletion, indigenous ecological knowledge, and the ethical responsibilities th t arise from these interactions. This collection aims to provide a comprehensive and nuanced understanding of how literary narratives are shaping our perception, understanding, and ethical responses to environmental challenges in the Indian context. We invite scholarly articles that delve into diverse facets of ecocriticism,
environmental humanities, and ethical studies as they manifest in novels, poetry, short stories, and non-fiction by past and contemporary Indian English authors.
Possible Themes and Approaches Include (but are not limited to):

Please submit your full chapter (3000-4000 words) including abstract (300 words) and a brief author bio (100 words) to literarylandscapeindian@gmail.com by 15 December, 2025 in MS word and pdf files. All submissions should follow MLA 9th edition style guidelines for references and in-text citations. (Font: Times New Roman; Font size:12). Publication fees- 1000/- for one author. All chapters will go through authentic plagiarism check. The book will be published by a reputed publisher with ISBN. After acceptance of articles, contributors need to pay the publication fees.
