

Dr Barnali Saha
Dr Barnali Saha is a creative writer, translator and assistant professor of English at Vivekananda School of English Studies, Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies, New Delhi. Dr Barnali Saha has done her B.A. (Hons) in English from Calcutta University, West Bengal, and her M.A. and Ph.D. from GGS Indraprastha University, New Delhi. A gold medallist in her M.A. course from GGSIPU, her doctoral work investigated the articulation of the Partition from a literary and cultural
point of view. As a research scholar, Dr Saha has published several papers and has attended and presented at several national and international conferences.
Her areas of academic interest include Postcolonial Studies, Partition Literature, Translation, Popular Culture and Gender Studies, Film Studies, and Shakesperean Drama. Apart from her academic work, Dr Saha enjoys writing short stories and translating short fiction from Bengali and Hindi to English. She has published the following books: Ghosts of Tagore: Tales of the Uncanny (Hawakal Publishers, 2022); An Anthology of the Best Ghost Stories from Bengal (Bee Books, 2023).
